1965 Chevelle Malibu SS clone
For sale is a 1965 Chevy Chevelle Malibu SS clone from my collection. This Chevelle started out life as a Malibu Sports Coupe automatic.
MECHANICAL: The engine is a rebuilt small block 350 that has a Edelebrock mild cam, Edelebrock intake and carburetor, aluminum radiator with automatic electric fan, MSD HEI ignition system, Mallory 8MM wires and ceramic coated headers. It has an automatic powerglide transmission that shifts well. The battery has been relocated to the truck. It also has a fuel cell in the trunk as well. The front original drum brakes are upgraded to power disk brakes for great stopping power. The chevelle runs and drives strong.
BODY: The body is solid with no rust and is straight. The body man sanded it down, addressed any issues, primered it, sealed and painted in the original Chevrolet light blue satin. The body panels, trunk and floor pans are original and solid without any rust. It has a fiberglass 2 1/2" cowl induction hood. 15" Weld drag star rims with good tires. I outfitted it with the correct Malibu super sport badges and trim.
INTERIOR: It has bucket seats and the SS gauge cluster from a 1965 Malibu Super Sport, B & M floor shift, new carpet and headliner. The interior was redone and shows very nicely.
The car shows very nicely and I've gotten a lot of thumbs up. It's not perfect or a 25K "show car" but I would consider it a very nice driver. It has original black and yellow plates that were restored to like new condition (not repos). I have the Clean title in my name and its currently registered.
I love these cars, as I have another true SS in my collection (as seen in last picture). I hate to sell this car, but it's time to pass it on to someone to enjoy. I'm only asking $15,600 for this Chevelle and will not accept any low ball offer. Please, serious car enthusiast only as I have limited time to show it. I'm not in a hurry to sell it. Thanks.
