Well, I needed a support for my 65, and couldnt find one, and the I came upon a 64 support. It was basically the same, but the top bolt holes are different. I ended up not really caring and drilled new holes for my bolts. It works and looks great. So if you are doing a restoration and want things correct and proper, get the correct one. If you are not worried too much about a little modification, then it will be fine.
Here's the deal on 64 and 65 rad supports
The 64 rad support when installed uses NO
rad support bushings just the flat washer
wuth the nut/bolt. where as the 65 uses the rubber bushing and washers for mounting.
so to answere you Question. YES you can use
a 64 on a 65 BUT DO NOT enlarge the holes
and install the bushings ( you will have sheet metal line up nightmares! ) YOu can use a 65 rad support on a 64 but USE the bushings. OK ?
