Can anyone tell me how to tell the difference between a 1964 regular Malibu and a Malibu with an SS package? I know the vin number on the SS is a 58 vs 56 on the Malibu. How else can you tell? All replys will be greatly appreciated.

closest I can tell the 58 only indicates that it is a v-8 car......the 65 has 138 in the serial but I can't tell on the 64
the HARD way to tell is look at the shifter area and it is easy to determine if it was professionally produced or "professionally cloned"
