Last year when I was at SEMA ('04), I ran into a guy in a parking lot that had 20 x 10s on the rear and 18 x 8s on the front. I wrote down the tire sizes that he had, but I only got to speak with him briefly and I never got the backspacing. I was wondering if anyone here is running wheels this size and if you wouldn't mind sharing some info with me.
Seems like I've seen several cars with 17/20 combo, but none yet that have the 18/20. I would have asked a few more questions when I saw the Chevelle in the parking lot if I thought it would be as hard as it's been to find more info on the setup. It may be because it's pretty extreme tire size, but I really liked the look. I'm building a car for cruising mostly. I'm looking seriously at an air-ride as long as it doesn't require any chopping. No heavy racing really, maybe a few road trips.
I've been building a custom LandCruiser the last 4+ years and it's time for me to ramp up my project car build-up. It was my first car. It's actually a 71 Cutlass Convertible. I'm posting here because you guys seem to be a lot more progressive than anything I've been able to find on Cutlass related sites. Brothers in GM right?
Any information is appreciated, even if it's just posting up other sites that may have good info for me. Thanks.
