I could have used it last week. Isn't that the way it always goes? From what I understand there is a shortage of 4 series Eaton cases right now and most places are out of stock.

You aint kidding.I love the brute strength.Also you can use 373s and 390s with a 4 series carrier these days.I wouldnt doubt,you will be able to get higher gears for the 4 series in the near future.Gotta love those 800 lb spring units.They go for the mid 5oo dollar range brand new.An excellent posi unit

If you need some 4 Series Units, I have 7 of them. I can definitely use a few 3 Series Units in trade.

Where can you find 3.73 that will fit a 4 series i was told 4.11 and lower was all that would fit.I could probably live with 3.73 and run alittle taller tire.Thanks

I doubt that there will ever be anything more than a 3.73 for the 4 series because the ring gear would be too thin. Richmond makes a thing 3.73 for the 4 series. I think I have installed one of these, but I'm not sure. I know that I have sold some.

Right now I'm in need of a 33 spline 4 series. I have found one of those. I think the 30 spline 4 series is hard to get right now.

Yes,you can use 3.73s and 3.90s with a 4 series carrier.I prefer Yukon gears but thats me.I prefer their install kits as well.They give you 2 crush collars just in case you screw up the first time crushing one down.Yukon makes one hell of a product

Motive doesn't show a 3.73 for the 4 series carrier unless I'm reading their catalog wrong.

Pg 43 is the 12 bolt passenger type gears and don't see any pro series gears either.
P/N would be G988xxx.
Do they still make the pro (competition) series for the 8.875" passenger type?

Motive is good as long as it's made in Itally. The Motive gears made in Korea are junk. I've got a Motive gear in my truck and I've put over 100,000 miles on it and it's still great.
