Does anyone know what I can do if I do not have the caps for a 12 bolt housing?

im no expert, but you must get new caps, and have the housing/caps machined to gethers as matched parts, i have heard that 12 bolt truck caps fit.....

I am pretty sure someone makes replacement billet caps but you will need to get a good machine shop to align bore them to match the housing. Might be easier (and cheaper) to just get another housing or buy a new one from Moser etc.

If it is as simple as the Mark Williams ad implies; just bolt these down and measure the diameters to determine how much to mill off the new caps.

Truck 12 bolt caps will fit, but they must be fitted to the housing. You can also use the after market caps and have them fitted. The bearing bore MUST be round and the correct size or you will have problems.

I like the Mark Williams caps. Have them fit at your local engine machine shop. They can use a Main/ rod cap cutter to fit the caps. Take lots of measurements. Tom

I have it at a shop now and there telling me the housing is junk if I dont have original caps so your telling me its not? Is it worth finding truck caps from a junk yard or buying new ones and having them fitted? This housing is already powdercoated and ready except for the caps.

So this is fixable especially if the housing is powdercoated. This shop is telling me I,m better off buying a new housing

Yes, fix it. These are getting too hard to find and junking it just because the caps are missing would be a shame.
