I have an alternator I took off a 65 Chevelle many years ago and was wondering if it was the original alternator. The number on it is 1100700 and the date code shows 1965. It is a 55 Amp unit and looks rather nice. I cannot find that number in my casting number book so I am hopeful that someone one here can help me out.

The only 1965 listing I show in my Delco books for 1100700 is 1965 full size Olds and 1965 F85 V8, with power steering and air conditioning.

Also listed on 66 and 67 and 68 full size Pontiac, Tempest and Firebird with ps and a/c. Not listed as original on any Chevrolet.

Hollander shows 15 applications ranging from 65 to 70.
None are Chevy.
