Mods...can you please move this to bench racing where i meant to post it....thanks...
15 min. for tires and 12 min of fuel I wonder how much for an oil change.
The fastest I have ever gone was 165 on a motorcycle. That was faster than I really needed to go, or ever want to go again for that matter. I could not imagine doing 253 mph.
That was INSANE.
Imagine passing a F1 car while listening to the radio and with the AC on.

AC is probably too much load to go that fast... ;)
Been 140ish and that was faster than I want to go with a lap belt and fiberglass roof with no rollbar
Yeah That Was Sick! fastest i have ben was 120 in a olds 442
i would have been driving it with one hand and be smoking a cigarette!.................and definitely wearing some shades:cool:
All that car needs is a 400 shot of nitrous!
What an amazing machine!
wow, just amazing.
wonder what it would cost for mechanics services!

Your right Brett. It will probably only do 220 with the AC on. LOL

$29.99 by the punks at Jiffy Lube.:D
I found an interesting article on the powerplant.
What an amazing machine!
Probably sells for a amazing price, and very few would ever get a chance to own one.

Yeah, it goes for a piddly little 1.7 million!!!
I believe most of you have never heard of the Veyron before now :p Its quite a marvel of a car, the transmission being the most impressive part for me. You think Chevelle's are heavy, this thing weighs near 4200 lbs without driver. This is a big reason why its so stable at high speed.

I'm still a bit skepticle about the cars top speed, the only tests have been done staged by Bugatti. Nobody has "officially" tested it around Nardo where the McLaren F1 and Koenigsegg CCR set their records at. Every top speed run done, always coincidently hits the exact claim Bugatti gives. First it was 402 kph, now its 408 kph. But while all tests have been done with the help of Bugatti themselves, 3 have gave speeds of 250+ mph, so it would seem the car can infact hit it. Despite having a rather high 0.36 cD in top speed mode.

Some other tidbits about the car, its AWD, it has the widest tires of any production car at 365 mm wide. It can hit 0-60 in 2.7 seconds, and do the 1/4 in [email protected] It can also brake good because of HUGE brakes

EDIT: while that 1001 hp is really 987 SAE (american) horsepower, rumors suggest it really puts out quite a lot more. I wonder if perhaps Bugatti cranks up the boost for their tests they organize.
