You always mention only to use 8-10 ohm speakers with the old radios and they are hard to find. I just replaced the rear speaker in my 90 Silverado and the 4X6 speaker is marked 9.5 ohms. If this is common to other Delco systems maybe there is an alternitive source for speakers??

Yes, I almost always mention in e-mails for people to check with the Chevy parts counter. Many "modern" vehicles in the GM lines have used 10 ohm speakers. The problem is, unless you know an exact part #, or a vehicle application, most counter guys just frown on you. Sometimes even with the info, they still don't want to track down the stuff.

Thanks for the post though, now I have another vehicle I can reference if need be.
