I took my car (66 CHEVYII) out this last weekend to make some licensing passes. I havent made any full passes yet but at half track it ran a couple 6.41 leaving easy off the foot brake with high 1.5 - 1.6 60's. First pass was a 11.39 @ 80 with a 1.44 60'. the last pass was a 10.04 @ 130 backing off around a 1100' because it was leaking water out of the radiator cap (forgot to turn the water pump on) and it was coming into the car..WHAT DOES THE 6.4 CONVERT TO IN THE 1/4? I think when I load up the trans break it should easily do 1.3 60's Next time out I'll let'r rip but that may be a couple more weeks.

I have found that multiplying your 1/8th mile time by 1.57, it gets pretty close to realistic 1/4 mile time. 6.4 x 1.57 = 10.04

Probably a little quicker than the 10.04 run. What mph was it going at the eighth mile? I'd say 9.95 or maybe quicker, if you lean on the brake hard.

Depends on the 1/8 mile mph.
6.40 is around 10.10 if the 1/8 mph is 106. Maybe 107.
All cars differ in the back half.
Last Fri, PIR, NA, 6.42 @ 107, 10.13 @ 131.3. 1.44 60ft. The E10 gas is crap!
Just depends. This was at PIR.
If you were full out through 1000ft...it will get close to the nines.
They will license you even if you don't run a nine. But I'm sure you will run in the nines, you have big tires.

I'm convinced we will never run Woodburn at the same time.
Besides, Woodburn's track sucks.
100 shot last year, Woodburn, after watching all kinds of track prep, cool day, tire spin.
Last Friday at PIR, one prep, three runs in, 150 shot, dead hooked.
1.32 on 9" tires.
Come to PIR!

Your dead right Bob. I think the fact that this car isn't being hit very hard, and is probably real light, it's going to go much quicker than he has so far. I saw one high powered BBC Camaro go from a footbraked time of 9.18 to a trannybrake time of 8.86 with both trap speeds about the same 153 mph. I'd bet this Chevy II is at or under 3000 lbs.

109, 110. These are leaving soft off the foot brake. I've been rolling into the gas from about 3k, it has a 5200 stall and a trans brake. I think it will run closer to 115 at half track.

Ron, this was at Woodburn on Saturday (Import Day) the track was terrible! I was spinning the tires off the foot and not hitting it hard at all. We had a couple drizzle delays and the track was cold. I'll be bringing it to PIR soon. I want to get this license thing behind me first. We will be running at Woodburn at the same time, we're both signed up for PINKS. I'm looking farward to meeting you.

Harold, it weighs 2450 without me in it. I think I could easily get this to 60 in the 1.3's. There was a pretty good head wind and the car was floating around a bit. I pedaled every run except the last one where water was coming in the car, and didn't finish that run either. It ran 110 at half track on one of the runs and 109 a few other times. The computer says it should run about 140. 4:10 gear on a 29" tire.

With that speed at the eighth it will probably go close to 140. I'd guess about 9.70 @ 138. That is about what Garret's Camaro runs at the eighth but it could be a little quicker than a 9.70.

Thanks Harold. That is about what I was thinking. I have a video of the run and I'll try to download it tonight. I'm looking forward to seeing it on a bigger screen anyway. This engine made 700hp @ 7000 and 7500, I set the shift light @ 6800 and have only seen it twice in 4 runs, short shifting. I've just been curious what everyone thinks it would run.
