I did the same thing a couple years ago. Still working fine.
03 Silverado speedometer repair
i was lucky enough to have one of those trucks with the speedometer cluster that failed
there are some people that you can send the cluster in to for a rebuild, but i found a guy on Ebay who just sold the steeper motors, $39 for all 6
took about 1 hour start to finish, a little careful unsoldering and resoldering and its all fixed
sometimes it works out, lol
