Started life as a 327 4 speed with 3.31 posi. White color. Purchased as a roller out of California.
1965 Chevrolet El Camino (Med. Gulf Blue Metallic)
Junk yard 454(mark IV). Totally rebuilt by myself and youngest son. Bored 30 over, magnafluxed, balanced, and blue printed. Peanut port heads with a little porting , bowl clean up, and valve job. Comp cams 279th and valve train with roller rockers. Scat crank and rods. Wysco forged pistons. Weiand stealth dual plane intake with Holley 650 Street HP carb. Th350 with shift kit. Hughes 3000 stall.
Replaced floor pan. Bucket seats from a '98 Grand Am (I think), door panels, padded dash, carpeting and headliner, center cup holder with storage, tilt steering, glove box. Gas, oil, volt, and gas gauges mounter beneath dash. B&M ratchet shifter. New kick panels with provisions for 5.25 speakers.
New fiberglass cowl hood, new bed trim and bumpers. Craftec bed cover.
4 polk audio speakers (2 @5.25 in kick panels and 2 @ 6.5 mounted behind seat. Jvc disc player with USB. JVC 800 watt amplifier and a 10" sub. Around 4000 songs from the 50's, 60's, and early 70's on the USB disk for our listening pleasure.
Stock suspension in front (for now) with a UMI 1 1/4" sway bar. Rear is new upper and lower control arms with 1 1/4" sway bar. Front disc brake conversion.
