History
Found in Ca. It had been stripped with grinder(!?!) to bare metal and repainted. It took many years but, finally decided I liked butternut yellow enough to repaint it back to its original color. And I'm glad I did.
1968 Chevrolet SS Convertible (Butternut yellow)

Modifications

Drivetrain
Stronger ignition with a MSD box. Aluminum radiator.
Interior
Ditched the power glide and installed a Muncie. Went with a 69 bench seat so I would have headrests. Also went with a repo walnut steering wheel. I also elected to get rid of the factory idiot light set up so up graded to factory original gauges and factory tach that came out of a 327 equipped car. Tach was re-silk screened to reflect the different RPM red line for a 396. And lets not forget a tilt column and map light equipped rear view mirror.
Exterior
Moved antenna from the fender to rear right quarter. Much cooler looking!
Added duel 1969 mirrors. I like them better than the round 68's.
Audio
Duel exhaust rumble!! And plain old factory AM/FM.
Suspension
Added a rear sway bar along with boxed control arms and a thicker front sway bar. Upgraded brakes from non power drums to power front disk. Kept it all 1968 correct.
Wheel and Tire
Stuck with the old timey rallies.. Timeless! Goodrich radial TA P235-60R15 on the front. P255-60R15 for the rear.
