Found the car parked on the side of a barn in Pemberton NJ when I was driving around in my first car (1969 Chevelle Malibu) back in 1999. Five months later my Chevelle got rear ended and totaled. I went to the house that I remembered finding the Chevelle and bought the car for about $1000. She handed me a title that went through the washing machine. It took 2 and a half years to get the title transferred to my name. I tracked it down the the lady's son's friend that owed him money. His sister was the owner and it had a lien on it that was paid years earlier but the title was never updated from the previous 3 owners.
As I was waiting to get the title situation squared away, I saved and saved and stockpiled parts. Finally, in Fall 2003, I asked my neighbor to help me restore the car. By Summer 2004, this is what it was. I sold the car Spring 2005 to a man in Syracuse NY.
Summer 2014 I was looking online and saw that the car was being sold! Unfortunately my father was sick with cancer and the timing wasn't right to purchase. 2 years later in 2015, I was looking at redoing another car but would take too much time and money. So I did a random search and found my old car again being sold on Craigslist. I scooped it up and brought it back to the way I had it!
