Rick do you run the 1/8 or 1/4 ?

the 3355s are 29 lbs X5 compound

what about Bias-Plys M/T # 3055 only 23 lbs M5 Compound

the 295/55/15s M/T ET Street S/S have a R2 compound and if I remember right
one TCer said they are as good if not better than some Slicks
the Chart under the Overview Tab shows that R1 Compound is Softer than M5 & X5 Compounds

I guess a Slick with the L8 compound would be better !?

I am running the 295s at the Track and I am very happy with them
also bought some for the street

The next time I go to the Track I will be testing out the newly rebuilt TH400 with a Manual Reverse VB
and a new 9.5" Torque Converter with a Stall of 3,500 to 6,500 rpms
previously only had a 2,500 Stall Converter

I run 1/4 mile. Stopped in at the local speed parts place yesterday to order another set of wheels just for track/slick use and the owner has a set of Hoosier bias slicks for me to try out. 18155s C07 compound. He runs the same tire on his Shelby GT500. His Shelby is a stick car with over 1100 rwhp, runs mid 9's. Has also been 200 mph at the Texas Mile. He drives it to work. LOL. He says the Hoosiers work best for the 1/4 on his Shelby and he has tried quite a few tires.
I also run the MT 295-55-15's but they don't seem to hook until the tread is totally gone at the end of the season. Last year I was running 11.45s with 1.52 60ft. This year with new MTs, same tire, I am back to 12.2s. 1.7-1.8 60ft. Spinning every pass. Time for some sticky slicks. Street nights at S.I.R. are basically no prep/very little prep so sticky is good. I will give the Hoosiers a try and see what happens. I will use the MTs on the street.
