      I eliminated my idiot lights and replaced them with factory gauges. An elbow is a good idea to get the line facing away from the headers. A better idea is to buy a kit from Autometer, that replaces the plastic line with a copper line. Some tracks will not allow you to race with the plastic line.

      Here is what I added to my 67 and the Warning Lights are still hooked up
      

      Auto Meter 2328: Autogage Gauge Trio Oil Pressure, 0-100 psi - JEGS High Performance
      Replaced the Plastic Oil Line with this Metal one Auto Meter 3224: 1/8" Diameter Copper Tubing, 6-Feet Long - JEGS High Performance
      

      
      
      Then added a Trans Temp Gauge & Sender Auto Meter 5757: Phantom Transmission Temperature Gauge 2-1/16" electrical - JEGS High Performance
      along with this Auto Meter 5757: Phantom Transmission Temperature Gauge 2-1/16" electrical - JEGS High Performance
      

      
      
      All Wired to the IGN Fuse in the Fuse Box
