What type of coil?

Hi
I have 70 402 with Pertronix Flamethrower Billet Distributor and flamethrower coil. The coil has a crack around where the thread goes in top so want to replace. Info on coil says 1.5 ohms and Carb D57-10 whatever that means. Looked on net to order replacement and see that there is a choice between oil filled and epoxy filled. Pertronix part 40011? What is the difference and does it matter which one I get? The one I'm looking at is 40 000 volts is that right? Any other recommendations.

Thanks

Always get an oil filled coil, just like what the factory used for decades.

"CARB" is California Air Resources Board. The number means it is a listed emissions requirement device.

Not sure about about high-performance-yet-stock-looking plug wires. I'm sure they are out there, but one would think quite pricey.
