Need a recommendation for front and rear floor mats for my 68. I see alot of them on line but who has the best fit and finish? Going black carpet not rubber with a logo of some sort, SS, 396. Thanks for your time!

After lots of online research I selected mats from High End Motorsports. My '67 has the high beam foot switch and the mats incorporated a hole for that. They fit perfectly. Choice of colors, type of carpet (Loop or Pile), choice of logos, etc. These mats look like they were made for my car, not some generic "one type fits all". Well worth the cost.

Was wondering if anyone has the Legendary mats. Just going from the reviews they seem like top quality. Are they loop pile or cut pile?

Whenever I do custom carpet in a customer's car, I make floor mats with their leftover carpet, if they want them. Carpet binding on the edges, and I have a lady with a computerized embroidery machine that will embroider any design, any color they want, into the floor mats.

The embroidery is not cheap, $50-75 per mat, but she does beautiful work!

"Used to be" was the key in my experience. Not anymore with todays winter rubber mats. They a lip all around the mat to hold the melted snow (water) on the mat. I just have to be attentive to "empty" the mat when there is accumulated water. For me; this system works in keeping my factory carpets looking good.

So I understand after doing some searching the mats to get for a Chevelle would be the Lloyds mats. They come in both loop and cut pile. Any opinions on which hold up better? Just interested in plain mats (no logo or embroidery).
Hope they would wear better than the ACC carpet that covers the floor. Been through a couple of those. I M O that stuff doesn't hold up well at all.
