Had the afternoon off. Took the 66 out and about, I noticed the blower motor miraculasly started working. So on my way home all of the sudden the car dies. It's on a side street by the house so no big deal. Coast it to a stop under a shade tree and start the check list. Gas, good. Crank it and it wants to start in start but dies when the key flips back to run.
Mistake I made was to wire the HEI to the fuse box. I also notice the blower isn't working. I guess I hooked the HEI wire to the fuse post that is on the same circuit as the blower.
Anyway no fuse in the trunk but I do have a spool of speaker wire.
So I make a jumper out of speaker wire to the lead to the HEI. Starts right up, drive it home, pull the wire to shut it off.
Can't do that with the new computer controlled cars. Jim
