Im doing a custom harness for my 67, I smoothed the firewall and no longer have the hole for the bulkhead connector, so my wires will be going out threw a grommet behind the fender. I also wanted the cluster to be able to removed independent of the dash harness so I used two connectors to be able to just unplug the cluster and remove it. For all the dash lights Summit sells them, I used the Pico brand for all of them.
I did the american auto wire complete car kit. I knew nothing about it and was able to do it in about two weeks, when I had time. Their diagram is pretty straight forward and I only had to use 2 or 3 original connectors spliced in just to make my life easier.
