    Hi Jim
Terry from Western Australia. After reading some of the archives on Power Steering you seem to be the most knowledgable with respect to PS. I have a 70 396 and just purchased a new rebuilt PS pump the original type. My old one leaked from several spots so I decided to just replace it. I am confused about whether the new pump should have O rings supplied or not. It has not come with any and the supplier told me to just bolt it on.
The spacer on the front of the pump where it mounts even has a recessed groove that looks like it is for a seal. Can you advise me on this as I don't want to bolt it on and then have it leaking.
Also any general advice on installing would be appreciated.

Thanks (I will also post in Power Steering forum)

I don't have an answer for you. If the two splines are very, very close in size, count, shape, and dimensions they must go together. The only thing that comes to mind is corrosion? Spray the splines with WD40 or some other penetrant?

Jim I just purchased a rebuilt tilt column for my 70 chevelle the splines at the end have one large flat spot and seem to be larger splines but they do mic the same . I can not get my immediate shaft to slide on. Even spreading I can get it half way driving it with a brass punch and hammer, tapping it so I will not collapse it Thank You Joe

    Hi, Jim!

Can you take another look at my 66 Chevelle turn-signal thread? It's actually a '69.

I could use detailed diagrams of the turn-signal mechanism if you have them. Details why are in the thread.

There is a ton of information on the Jeep GC swap. Ask the question directly on the Chevelle forum and/or search the archives. It is a very easy swap but you do have to take into account the flexible coulping and the hoses. All the other stuff should bolt right in.

Hi JIm...I am new to the whole GC Box swap and was wondering if there was a step by step guide, possibly with photos on this website to see exactly the correct parts and procedure for the install on my 72 Chevelle.....I have looked through the forums and have only seen arguments about the right numbers and what not...LOL Thanks in advance.

You may recall a conversation we had about 6 months ago about a tilt column. after a a "background" / "private" message from me you advised that you preferred that I ask questions in the "open forum" so others may benefit.

I am back to the tilt column project and I could use a little help. Please look at the troubleshooting section of the FOrum when you get a chance.
