    Hi Mr. Busted Knuckles.
I was wondering if you got my message i sent you a week or so ago regarding help on the 70's Chevelle?
If you are not interested replying, just say so,i'll understand man,no hurt feelings.
Only reason i sent you a message is i liked what you wrote about the '512 block for sale, and i don't know anyone here that i can ask for help...
    Thanks once again.
    Perry.

I've scrounged and dealt in engines and blocks for 20 years, never had my hands on a 409. Seen one, but couldn't touch it. The block I have for sale is the very first '512 casting I've ever had my hands on, it's a rare find for sure, but not as rare as a 409!
Whaddaya farm? I grew up raising cotton, grain sorghum, hogs and a whole lot of hell. Glad I got over that last part!

Thanks for the offer. I am seriously considering it. I wouldn't mind taking a weekend trip to Lubbock. I'm a huge Buddy Holly fan and have been wanting to go for a while now. So can you please tell me what you mean by "short block"? Or better yet, if calling me would be easier please call me at 713-203-6932 when you get a chance.. Thanks!
