    I sent you a message a while back about putting a Lt1 and 4l60E out of an F body a my 69 Chevelle. I know you advised against it, but I ending up proceeding with the swap anyway. I have the motor and tranny in the chevelle, but came up on a couple snags. I bought a energy transmission mount and it appears to be positioning the transmission about 1/2 to an 1" higher that what it needs to be. The tranny is up tight against the floor with the energy mount in place. When you did the swap did you cut the crossmember mount off and reposition it lower or is there a low profile mount you can buy? Also what did you do for the driveshaft? My LT1 shaft seems to be about a 1' to short. I really appreciate any advice you could give me. I know you've already been through this swap so your knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey Derek in the post below you state you have 250lbs rear springs? what make and model? Moogs or? i have 167 in rear and want a little more. Front will be 350/400 with QA1 single adjustable and no rear sway bar yet. front is smaller one 7/8" maybe?

    I have a similar setup, except an all-iron Smallblock w/AC, and 700lb front springs. I currently have a 15/16" front bar, no rear bar, and I change rear springs to tune at autocrosses... I'm up to 250lbs in the rear springs as a band-aid for not having enough rear roll rate. Until I put a rear bar on, I'm stuck with the 15/16" front bar to keep it fairly well balanced, but I have a ton of body roll.

    I am a new member on this forum, just bought a 69 chevelle and have already started restoration on the body. I have a the opportunity to buy a complete 94 z28 with 80,000 miles and was thinking of dropping the drivetrain in my chevelle. I was wondering what troubles you ran into when completing your swap. I was hoping you could help me out.
    Will the camaro radiator work/fit in the chevelle? Can I modify the original driveshaft to work with the 4l60e? Will the 4l60E fit in the chevelle tunnel?
    Will the factory lt1 manifolds fit? What did you do for a fuel pump and lines?
    Is it worth the time of modding the stock engine harness or should I buy a standalone setup?
    The car had a big block in it, so can I buy standard chevelle Sbc motor mounts for the lt1 or do I need something different?
    Can I use the factory tranny crossmember or do I need to fab one up?

    Hello Derek,

    I have a 65 chevelle and I ran across your post on converting drum spindles to disc. On you post you talked about the 73 to 90 caprices with 11" rotors. My question is can you use the same stock ball joint for this conversion from the 65 are do you have to modify them?

    I love the color of your chevelle. I am in the process of looking to find the right color for my car. Your car is the exact color blue i like. I was wondering on how the white stripes would look. I think it looks awesome do you have anymore pictures?
