    Hey Sal,

I just saw this "conversation" starter on my Profile page. I never got an email alert for it.

Thanks, I bought this '66 in '05. It was a non-numbers matching SS car, turn-key driver with 396 & 4spd. As it goes, I eventually wanted more so dropped in a crate zz502 and it went down hill from there Now it is more of a race car than street but I drive it more than I race. My build mantra is "simple old school shake, rattle & roll".

I saw a pic of your car on one of your threads. Very nice and love the wheels. You've got an interesting combo going there.

You're welcome for the support. You can only appreciate it if you've gone thru it. I almost lost my leg from a motorcycle accident. Was in a wheelchair and wore a cane for 2 years. Now I have a slight limp but that's ok, I now know when it's going to rain Hopefully you had a good friend base and family that supported you thru it!

    Have a good day

    Hi Monk,

I love your Chevelle, My first car was a 66 SS convertible 427 L88 4 speed, always will be my favorite.

I wanted to say thank you for the kind words and support you wrote in my post.

I started building my engine many years ago. I had a build thread way back. I hit a lot of problems during the build so I kept on having to put it away for another day. I did finish it 2 years ago and thatís when I was involved in the auto accident. I just wanted to reintroduce myself and started the 496 update post.

    Cheers, Sal
