Just wanted to give a shout out to Ben (RAMBO). He is very patient, very knowledgeable and cuts his spring to the T! I had no issues what-so-ever installing my seat springs on my 69 Chevelle. He was always available whenever I had questions, and was/is always there for moral support. We need more people like you, Ben. Team, don't think twice about doing business with Ben. He does it all! He's the best!

    RAMBO,

Hello. I recently purchased a set of TMI Sport R covers for a 72 Chevelle. It took 12 weeks to get them, and the entire time I studied how to recover seats and even purchased a stock bucket cover to practice. Covers showed up today and they are completely different than stock as far as the listing wires etc. You seem to be the expert on all things upholstery, have you ever done one of your in depth write ups on these? Apparently I don’t use any burlap, felt or cotton batting, and the foam gets hog ringed to the frame then the cover to the foam? They are beautiful covers and I really want to do them my self, just don’t want to mess them up. Also, if you have any tips on installing the headrest guides cutting the foam/covers I’d appreciate it.

Ben - sorry this took so long to answer, I just saw your question today. The white pinstripe is factory painted-on. My 1st L79 Malibu back in '68 had the very same stripe. That car was also Fathom Blue with the white stripe, identical to this one....

Hi Rambo, I have a 71 Chevelle 2 door that i am currently restoring the factory front bucket seats and rear seat in. I am interested in your burlap/jute spring covers for both front bucket seats as well as the upper and lower rear seat cushion. What would the price for these be shipped to 44024 ? What kind of delivery time once ordered ?

    Thanks, Ryan Exum.

    Rambo,

I know this has been forever ago, but I just stumbled across one of your postings from '02 where you discussed the speaker box you installed in the rear of your Camino. I'm in the final stages of my restoration, and I had the exact same thought to build in a carpeted box under that shelf to hold a few 6X9 speakers. I think it would really give it that finished, professional look. Certainly better than letting the speaker magnets hold themselves up on the back wall!!

If you have any pics or advice you could share, I'd be forever grateful.

    Thanks!

    Hey Rambo,
I read through your thread on your 66, how did it turn out, and I'm in the process of doing the same thing to a 67. Any advice would be deeply appreciated!
