Hey Rick! 383 is running....awesome. Carb won't idle right....but everything else is wonderful. I'm down to 12.28 @ 110 MPH but the car is totally civilized.

I'm a little jam upped at work with my September 15th tax deadline looming.....but I'd definitely like to get together, if possible. Please keep me posted on your travel plans. I can probably find a few hours for Chevelle fun and grabbing something to eat.

How is your 383 treating you?
We are going to the Frankenmuth Auto Fest this weekend. It should be a great time. Thousands of cars.
I will be in the Mantua area a few days next week. Maybe we can touch bases.

    Hi again,
    Michigan guy.
Went to Back to the Bricks last week in Flint. The Wednesday and Thursday evening cruises are the best. The cruise is about 10 miles. From 4:00 to 9:00 or more. We tried to go to Woodward Friday for the street drags but ran into rain and turned back only to find out it didn't rain there. Oh well, next year.
We will be in Mantua this Friday and Sat. Is there anything happening? I want to go to Summit for their return section.

Tony, this is Rick in Michigan.
Is anything going on, cruises, shows, etc, June 3 and 4.
Currently stalled on car. Life things this time of year.

I have chatted with you a few times.
We live in Michigan and have family in Mantua.
Looking on the Cleveland craigslist sight I see some front end pieces for a 69'.
Do you know anything about these ?

    I was going to build a 383 or 406.
Looking on my shelf I have 2 427/454 blocks , a forged crank for either , .060 over pistons for either , and everything else except the cam and components. What I need is 1 thumb print rod or a set of dimple rods which are on craigslist near me.

We should be visiting Ohio in the next few weeks. I am thinking about going to summit and getting 2, 8" rally rims with tires mounted. Someone here bought a set from summit and one of the rims was not straight.
