    Hi Tom,
I noticed that you recently deleted my post seeking information about a 70 Chevelle that I owned back in '71.
Did I post something wrong? If my post wasn't appropriate, please let me know what I can do to correct. Can I repost?
    Thanks for your help.

hi Tom, Philip said to pm you in case your still looking for a 66 el camino. I've got my running driving project for sale in Tucson. Didn't know if you were still set on building the one you got from Don or ifnyou were interested in something driveable and not too expensive $5000. jim. 520 904 4354

Hey Tom.....Greetings from Michigan (would really appreciate some warmth and sunshine!!)
I saw your response to the question on the block number from another poster....and wanted to let you know that I have the same block casting #10069286 But the heads #14096188.....don't seem to match??? The number on the boss above the timing cover number is TE 14XAA1...and adding to the confusion: the passenger side boss engine number has a hand stamped: U (or O) 119 CRV then the last six numbers of the Vin...and below those: 7 38 8 all hand stamped????
Also, I am moving to Mesa and thought you may know who to reach out to when I get there (having my SS shipped) to join or meet up with other Chevelle owners? Take care, Craig Richardson

Sorry Craig so slow. CRV is actually the code for 70 LS6 454

    CRV 1970 Chevelle 454 450 Mt LS-6 SHP

what car is it in? Pretty much the Holy Grail of Chevy engine codes. Is yours an LS-6 car?

Hi Tom... I saw your good post on rear drum brakes for a '71 Chevelle, I have a question for you that I hope you can answer for me: Is the entire rear drum brake assembly from the '71 Chevelle interchangeable with the same out of a 1967 GTO? Someone told me there might be a slight difference between the two, maybe the 4-hole flange? Are there any differences between them from the backing plate out? I wanted to ask you as you sound like the guy who would know about these things! Thanks for any info, Jim.

Hey, Tom. Thanks for reaching out. I'll send a video when I get off work of the engine running. That might get a better idea of things.

I do not like to complain but a troll with the handle of "Impala" has been abusing myself and another guy although both us us have done nothing but give him good advice. I normally try to avoid trolls (sometimes it is hard) and have done so after "Impala" became abusive, but he persists in ridiculing the other guy. I have found Team Chevelle to be a friendly site, but posters like Impala are of no benefit to the community. The subject of the post was Speed Pro piston coatings.

    Thank you.

    Tom

Well, my friend, it has come time to leave this site, and the Camaro one as well. Seems I am getting hammered by the elite here over the only accurate way to set valves, and they insist on going back to the "he was banned before" **** and bull.

I have never seen people more intent on insisting on doing it completely and totally wrong. I have other stuff to do, and not waste my time here.

    Take care,

    Dave
