I'm just a garage mechanic-wanna-be (but I'm an engineer) and I wanted to ask more about why you don't like 4" strokes in sbc w/o the raised cam location. I've had 2 Dart Lil Ms built with 1.050 base circle cams and 4" stroke. The builder (Fast Times) tried to talk me into the smaller stroke with a bigger bore but I (with my limited understanding at the time) wanted to get the ci without a bore.

Fast Times dyno'd the 1st motor (w/ electric pump and no accessories) and it went 589ftlbs/5000 & 630hp/6200 with a Vic Jr manifold. My brother has been running high 10s/lows 120s with this engine in his 3800lb (w/ him) Camaro. I have almost the same combo, but with a RPM AG, running 11.0/118-119. I have 30K miles on mine (w/ 2 Hot Rod Power Tours). Both cams were from CC, with 248/254 .6/.619 (3318/3319 lobes). His was on a 108 lsa and 104 icl. Mine was the same lobes but 112 lsa (can't remember where it was installed).

Thanks for all the great inputs/advice!
