History Car was purchased new by Bernard Adkins in Huntington, West Virginia, from well-known performance dealer Dutch Miller Chevrolet in autumn of 1969. I bought it through a broker in California in 2016 and completed a major restoration that had been initiated by previous owners. Car has had numerous owners in West Virginia, Ohio, Arkansas and Missouri between 1969 and 2016, but has accumulated very few miles during the past 35-40 years.

Interior

Code 755 Black Vinyl Bench - All new seat upholstery, seat foam, door/rear side panels and carpet in 2017. Seat covers installed by Brad Henry of Port Orchard, WA.

Owner added correct '69 4-speed tilt column and aftermarket in-dash tach and gauge package during restoration.

In-Car Entertainment
After three months of waiting, my "Blue Light Stereo" is finally installed and functioning. Now if only my exhaust was quiet enough to hear the tunes.....

Under the Hood

Car is presently powered by a mostly stock JD-Coded 375 HP 396 engine that was rescued from a wrecked '69 L78 SS 396 Chevelle and stored for 40 years. Engine was machined, balanced and blueprinted by Engineous Machine Werks, Kingston, WA. Assembled and Tuned by Owner.

Meanwhile, the "Numbers Matching" Block (with 291 heads, 163 intake, 7115 Jim Minnick L88 Crankshaft, "Dimple" Rods, TRW L2242 Pistons and GM Solid Lifter Camshaft) rests on an Engine Stand in my Shop. It was last rebuilt by previous owner Joe Goodrich in Huntington WV in 1994 and had obviously seen very few miles since that time.

Suspension
F41 - All New front and rear suspension and steering in 2017-8, built to factory F41 specifications.

Wheel and Tire
P235/60-15 BFG T/A Radials on American 15 X 7 Wheels.

I also have P225/70-14 Firestone Firehawk Radials on GM SS 14 X 6 Wheels with ancient (unused) F70-14 Firestone Wide Oval spare tire.
