1969 Chevrolet 300 Deluxe SS396 (Hardtop)
History Built in the Oshawa, Ontario Canada plant in February of 1969 and put for sale in the Oakville area. I believe it lived its life in the Oakville area where I bought it in 1992. Originally built with the following:
300 Deluxe hardtop (bench seat, rubber floor) with Z25 SS option package (396, p.disc brakes, 12 bolt, F40)
Silver paint, no side stripe
No radio or other interior options
M20 4 speed
4.10/posi rear
I beleive this car was likely the cheapest way you could buy an SS hardtop with 4 speed posi in '69. The 4.10 gears required posi, and the only other options were the hardtop and 4 speed upgrades.
Now sporting blue paint from the mid 1980s

PO put in the Malibu based SS interior in the 80s
Still has the tacky 80s gauges

In-Car Entertainment
The best cassette player you could get in 1981.

Under the Hood
Eddy RPM intake, Holley 750DP, headers... usual junk.

1" Hotchkis lowering springs, Airlift rear air bags as the rear springs sagged more than I liked.
KY rear shocks.

Wheel and Tire
ShowWheels "Streeter" 17x8s polished aluminum (http://www.1010tires.com/images/tires/General/general-G-MAX-AS-03_lg_super.jpg) with 245/50/17 General GMax AS-03 tires all around - great looking tire (http://www.1010tires.com/images/tires/General/general-G-MAX-AS-03_lg_super.jpg), handles/performs well without big premium tire prices.
