Trying to get everything lined out before I make the swap. Have to flip flop the 2 throttle bodies and have the slave in the rear. With the master in the rear, I have clearance issues with the IAC motor.
So this moves the wiring harness even further away from the cab. I have the 17014 O2 sensor, but am concerned it still won't have a long enough harness. Anyone have a p/n for a wideband sensor with a longer lead?

I think you can buy a 2003 VW Passat 1.8L Turbo upstream 02 sensor.

Thanks. Pic of it looks like it has a pretty long lead.

Bummer. I read on a Mopar A bodies forum that several members just cut and spliced wires to extend the length. If you do that, be sure and stagger your cuts so the splices don't all get bunched up in one spot.

Re: FITECH EFI TUNING tips, info sharing, ideas, settings, etc...

Can someone explain the breakpoints. Any suggestions for determining timing and air fuel for an OD transmission. I cant seem to figure out why my timing is lower than my set point at cruising. I also have a lean spike to 18/20 3 rows after take off for 2 rows on the graph after i take off from a light. Only hitting 15 on TPS max. Does fine if I accelerate with more throttle after take off. Seems to only be when its off idle driving. Would like to know how to check if my map points are correct.

Join the FiTech owner's group on facebook and post a log if you want some help with FiTech tuning. To be honest I don't know exactly what you are talking about cuz your explanation is too cryptic, but I'll blurt some thoughts out anyway.

Lower your High RPM value in Breakpoints if you want more timing sooner.
There is also a Cruise Low MAP setting in Breakpoints that I am sure does something useful at cruise for an OD setup. Unfortunately, I haven't a clue how it works, cuz it's not documented. Could be the FiTech owner's group knows more about it.

Go to the Accel Pump menu and increase Accel Pump 170F for light throttle lean tip in on a fully warmed up engine. If the lean spike shows on fast throttle input, also increase Fast Accel 170F. You can also increase dTPS Acc Gain and dTPS Acc Max to get more fuel when using the throttle to correct lean conditions. You have to play with the numbers until it feels right seat of the pants, or looks right in your log.

Re: FITECH EFI TUNING tips, info sharing, ideas, settings, etc...

Ya if your setup tends to spend most of its time in the lower rpm ranges you won't get to most of your settings using the default breakpoints. That was one of my issues at first. I cranked my timing up to something like 50 to hit the 30 I wanted before I figured it out. That may have been bad if I somehow managed to get to a higher rpm and it actually went to 50* timing.

Also note that after you change the settings the names/labels will still show the default but its just the label so nothing to worry about.

Sorry no Chevelle, 73 Cadillac Eldorado - Fairly stock low comp 500cid.
FiTech Go4 600 - Timing control via gutted 7 pin large cap HEI - Fuel RobbMc Powersurge with returns.
Previous system was Megasquirt w/Holley TBI so I am not new to DIY EFI

PeeWee

Oops, you need to lower the Middle RPM breakpoint to get your cruise timing to be closer to where you set it for 3000 45kPa Cruise if you cruise at lower RPM. The High RPM value is for 6000 45kPa and possibly WOT 6000 95kPa. I lowered the Middle RPM to 2600 for my gears and the 700R4.

I drive around in D or max 3rd gear unless I get on the highway. I use O for a max 4th on the highway, and have OD lockup I refer to as 4.5th on a toggle switch for driving over 65. Some day I might get around to using an adjustable vacuum switch I have on the shelf, but doing that is way low on my give a crap list.
