Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 supports forced induction

Edelbrock released firmware and software support for forced induction using the Pro Flo 4 (PF4) system. The firmware and software are available on GooglePlay. Current PF4 user's systems should auto download the update if close to a WiFi service, and the tuner tablet is setup to do so. Otherwise, you have to manually go get it via GooglePlay. No nitrous support.

Any idea if this software would work on a e street 2?

I plead clueless. Gut feeling is no, but calling Edelbrock or getting on their forum and asking might get you an accurate answer.

Re: Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 supports forced induction

The V65 Firmware and E-Tuner software version 4.0.1.7 are also a general update and recommended for Pro-Flo 4 NA applications.

To support forced induction a 2 BAR MAP sensor and larger injector changes are required. The PF4 systems shipped with 1 BAR MAP sensors. More information about the update and requirements to support forced induction is available on the Edelbrock website in the Pro-Flo 4 support forum in the stickies.

Yup, need the 2 BAR, which E Street 2 does not have. Iím in the same boat. Iíve been bugging Edelbrock forever about the PF4 forced induction capability. They always said it was coming. Iím glad to hear itís here now. They seemed to be behind the other EFI brands in terms of the low buck EFI that will support forced induction. Iím going to wait for them to release a version of PF4 with the 2 bar then bite the bullet! My C10 pickup will get the e street two, which it will be much better suited for anyway.

Oh and hopefully they will have a system with injectors that can support up to 700-800HP

You can install bigger injectors in the current system. 60lb injectors with forced induction support 625HP at 43 psi and 750HP at 58psi. 80lb injectors with forced induction support 850HP at 43psi, 975HP at 58psi and 1050HP at 65psi. All that is supported today according to their documentation about the latest software.

60lb and 80lb Siemens Deka shorty injectors with an EV1 style connector are plug and play.

I wonder how hard it is to switch over to a proflo-4 from a proflo-3.. that is enticing. All I would need are pistons and a procharger/turbo

I don't know what the differences are between the PF3 and PF4, but I would imagine if Edelbrock wanted to do it, they could get the forced induction software running on the PF3. Would be a nice gesture considering what a lot of people paid for the earlier Pro-Flo systems.

If you did a search in the Edelbrock EFI forums, you could find the party line answer. I know the question has come up. I don't remember the answer.

Doubtful that already packaged PF4 kits would have a 2 bar MAP. Edelbrock updated the 4150 throttle body recently and it has the same 1 bar MAP sensor the previous throttle body came with. 2 bar MAP sensors are plentiful. For example, Amazon has AC Delco 2 bar MAP sensors listed starting at $43. Could be cheaper elsewhere.

Nice! Iíve got some time, so Iím going to keep an eye on the packaging, and thatís pretty cool you can upgrade the injectors for more HP. My trans is maxed at 700, which I think is plenty for the street/strip

What I found when I researched was I would need a computer and harness to make it work. Who knows if id ever do that though.

You will need a ECM and a wire harness. All other parts are the same. Most likely the same price as a kit.
