LED hanging shop light fixture

I just replaced a dead fluorescent lamp fixture with one of these Harbor Freight LED units. Wow, what a difference. When you see the coupon that drops the price to $20 consider getting a few for your shop. The normal price is $30.
As the old lamps die off, I will be switching to these LED units for sure.

Costco runs specials from time to time on their LED shop lights for about $25-30. Depending on your local store they either have a 4' light that can be daisy chained for a total of five fixtures or a similar fixture that has a motion sensor attached. Light with motion sensor turns on whenever movement within 10-15' is detected. Stays on for about 15 minutes afterwards. Installed a set in my mom's garage. Now with her opening either the house or garage door, the lights come on automatically.

I got one of those HF ones for my garage at home, it really impressed me for $20. I got a similar one (less wide but 2 bulbs) for my shop where the old cars are from Tractor Supply for like $25. It too is impressive, but has to be plugged in, doesn't have a pull chain switch like the HF one.

Dont be afraid of this one from Home Depot either.

I bought one, put it up sort of where its in front of the Monte Carlo, and it lights up the engine bay like crazy. i tilted it a little to aim the light into the engine bay. Its bright.

I recently replaced all the 8 footer florescent tubes in my shop with 8' 5000K LED tubes.
Big difference !!!
Instant on and no more cold weather humming, I hope. Probably some cost savings eventually too.

I simply rewired the existing fixtures...removing the ballast.
Ordered the 8' LEDs from Amazon.
