Exclamation Site Upgrades and Tweaks

Hello all,

Today we will be tweaking the site in order to continuously improve upon the last upgrade. These will be very minor changes and should not yield any down time or disruptions for the community.

Here is a listing of the improvements we are making and reported issues we are addressing. Some might have already been implemented on your community before this update, we are just making sure everyone has the same improvements.

1. The sidebar will now be sticky when enabled and scroll down the page.
• Removes empty white space on the side bar, you can still disable this in the control panel
2. The New Member Setup Progress bar will be collapsible
• You can now toggle it to not show if you choose not to setup full account info
3. Additional search options for New Posts dropdown added to main Nav Bar
• 2-5 days
• Last week
• Last two weeks
4. Heart icon updated to thumbs up for “Likes”
5. Upgrade Reply Box to auto resize to larger screen and devices
6. Backend improvements for speed and load times – ongoing process
7. Smiles popup box larger
8. Smiles in preview oversized – resolved
9. Member list in tools dropdown on main Nav bar
10. Login and log out issues on various pages - resolved
11. Additional upgrades to homepage section and articles
12. Review of sub forum icons

NOTE:
- We are having is some issues with the Image uploader and password remember me box and fixes are in progress.

Re: Site Upgrades and Tweaks

Site upgrades aren't working so well. I am trying to post images and they won't show up. Even if I go to manage my attachments they won't display. What's going on? Upgrades and tweaks are only good if they actually work make things better. Just my $.02

There's nothing wrong with being stupid as long as you know you're stupid, it's when you're stupid and don't know it that you become dangerous.

Auotguide.... It appears you are trying your best to lose readers with your "upgrades". Have you noticed that this site has lost it's appeal to many?
When something works it is best not to "fix" it.

Why would we do this, we are adding features and maintenance for upgrades.

Sometimes upgrades have bugs and with a high volume custom sites like this tweaks are sometimes needed. If you have a specific issue please post details and I will have it resolved.

I have not been able to view pictures for some time now. They used to be already loaded automatically.
Site is becoming arduous to use. Supposed to be fun.?

Re: Site Upgrades and Tweaks

Is there a reason that I can no longer edit a post that I was able to edit yesterday? I don't even have the EDIT button available to me when looking at the post

Are you confronted by an error message when you attempt to load an image?
Can you clarify the issue that you are running into?

There is a 12 hour limit to edit posts. PM this account with a link to the post, and what you want edited from the post.
We will be able to help you out!

Richard.

Re: Site Upgrades and Tweaks

WILL someone listen to my issue. I use the classic screen. When I go to team Chevelle. The list of todays subjects on the right side of the screen shows up for a SPLIT SECOND and is gone.
I can not scroll up to get to the word " TECH FORUMS " ( frozen screen ??? )
To get to the different forums I have to go to the TOP of the page and click on ( in the blue box FORUMS in white letters) to get to the forums.
I am not a computer person and for the most part I DO NOT understand the computer language that computer people speak.
Thanx for your time.
