Corey banned permanently on 3-6-20 for continued abuse and generally being a time-wasting PITA. This guy doesn't seem to be able to get the idea that nobody has been hired to follow him around cleaning his messes. This action taken by Tom Mobley

Re: New site look and software upgrade Feedback Thread

The site is different. Way to bright, I have to turn down the intensity on my monitor to stay on here very long. It blinds you with all the white. I also get the site is not responding a lot on my home computor.

Re: New site look and software upgrade Feedback Thread

Jeff like I said before it sounds like advertising is pounding my PC like when you go on some of those Yahoo sites for news with all the advertisements. No other car site sound like this and It almost drives you nuts. Every time to click off of one thread to another my pc fan wants to have a heart attack. I did switch over to classic and the next time I signed in it was back to this. Too bad this site just went downhill fast in a bad way. Technology is one thing but when you mess up a site that was 2nd to none..now there is a problem. Here in Ct the DMV change over their whole system, now you can wait inline all day instead of a hour or two. Its like someone needs a job, so they sit and try to figure out a better mouse trap but the only trap they make one that doesnt work and gets them fired in the end. Donald Trump says who ever made this site like the way it is now is fired!!!

Also make sure you click "remember me" when logging in to keep the ads to a minimum while logged in.

This might help you stick with the classic version also:

Re: New site look and software upgrade Feedback Thread

Today I went thru pages of threads and my pc is winding up like a fighter jet. What did you do to the site? Today is different than yesterday and many previous days?

Any luck with the suggestions that Jeff made in his earlier post?
Also try to clear your cache and cookies, restart your computer then let us know if that cleared anything up.

Thank you,

Richard.

Can you let us know the pc specs or model number?

It should like you might have some older hardware that is not up to par for modern browsing.

First Guess: Firefox browser supplemented with Adlock Plus and Ghostery will take care of that.

Typing into this "Reply to Thread" box, Ghostery is showing 15 different trackers tacked onto this site, only two of which have any utility for me. The other thirteen are blocked.

Similarly, Adblock Plus is blocking seven scripts and images, although there's about a hundred more that seem to be benign or useful.

Adblock Plus and Ghostery are available free of charge through Tools > Add-ons (then search using those names.)
