1972 chevelle ss454 W car

I will be putting my chevelle on the market this year sometime when I get around to it. (Most likely)

details:
LS5 454 - NOM
4-speed (m20/21) - originally M22
buckets/console car
non cowl induction car
65 65 orange flame with black stripes/ black interior - painted a variant orange now.

It's a driver quality car but still an true ss454 w car and a factory 4 speed car with a nice color combo. I have a build sheet partial as well with all the main options still intact.

I just want a reasonable estimate If i were to price for selling on ebay/ classifieds. As of now this is the only pic I can grab a hold of.

Anyone? I was targeting $14,500.--is that too ambitious? I have no idea of the market these days, I've owned her for 11 years

Re: 1972 chevelle ss454 W car

I think more in the range of $30 - $35 thousand for this car if it is truly original and numbers matching. At least for starting price. Body looks good. Depends on how good the sheet metal is. Is it in good running condition? What does the interior look like? Don't sell yourself short.

You are correct on that.

We need more info on overall condition and pics are very helpful. Condition of the sheet metal will be the biggest variable. If it's a nice rust free shell your estimate is probably low.

Agreed... Around there, it's probably in the low to mid $20s.

I would say start at $26,000 and It will sell for $22-23,000. Its a real SS big Block 4 speed.

Re: 1972 chevelle ss454 W car

I don't think 30-35 is realistic, yes it's a true SS, but not original numbers, and 71-72's don't get the big bucks. I agree that it's a sale around $22-$23, IF it's a true number 3 car,(driver) as you claim, and no surprises in the rust dept, I would ask $25K and see what happens. Good luck buddy.

If you give us more details we can help you market it appropriately. I agree that a buyer would think they got a good deal in the $20k range, give or take a grand or two.

You say factory 4 speed but not the one the car came with.

For a NOM? I figured a matching numbers car would sell for those prices...Maybe Im stuck in the 2000s still.

if you are looking for a quick sale you can price the car in the low 20's.at that price there is a little wiggle room for both you and the buyer.if you had 14.5 in your head and you sell the car for 18-25k.i think you and the buyer both would be happy with the deal.also when you put the car at the higher end of the price range it might take longer to sale.either way nice looking car.good luck
