Do your homework!
IF you have a car you are really interested in you can post all the info here and the experts will let you know what you are looking at.
You could also pay someone to inspect the car in person. There are a few on here that offer that service. i.e. Dave Birdwell, Rick Nelson.
You would be wise to take your time and not get in a hurry unless you now your stuff.
Good Luck!

Moreso we are helping potential buyers avoid a mistake when making a purchase helping educate what some of the telltale signs of a fake are.

Also, most that try to fake one aren't really that clever and would spend more time and effort trying to convince a potential buyer to buy than trying to actually make a better fake.

BINGO!!
I always think that when I see someone come here, not even go to the welcome section and their 1st. post is on an old thread looking for help to determine how to tell if a car is real or not.
Sometimes, you never hear from them again?

JMO,but maybe some are smarting up.
I know it`s a slippery slope and we all try to help, not that I`m an expert by any means but,you never know?
