Whats it worth?

I have a 1972 Chevelle SS convertible that I special ordered new . The sticker on the car was $4,870 new. I now am carrying $20,000 coverage on it but from some of the prices I see I think it could be worth more. I just want to be sure I have it covered for what it is worth insurance wise. I can not seem to find anyone local that can tell me anything.
It is a 4 speed, 402 engine, SS package, special instrument dash and other small options. I also have all the paper work from the dealer from the day I bought the car. It is not a total restored car with no dirt on the frame and so on but looks good for what it is. I get it out and drive it ever few weeks if the weather is good. I have won best of show at some car shows I have gone to and it looks good inside and out.
I would just like to have an idea of what I should insure it for. Thanks
Richard

Re: Whats it worth?

What's the bump in insurance to go to $30K agreed value? Should be very small and would give you some peace-of-mind.

Great views!

Re: Whats it worth?

I would do at least $40,000. AGREED value myself.

Re: Whats it worth?

Who is it insured through now? I agree with Dean, bump the coverage to $40,000.

Re: Whats it worth?

I agree wth 40k. I think you would be hard pressed to buy one that nice for 30k.
