Re: Value Of An Ls6 Without The Ls6

If there is proof such as a real build sheet or window sticker showing the correct VIN that matches the car, then yes, it is and always will be a LS-6 car. In reality, it doesn't matter what any of us think about the value without the original engine. It's what the market thinks. A documented LS-6 car without the engine will always bring more money than a comparable LS-5 or LS-34 without the original engine.

No offense to you either but it sounds like you're doing a lot to try and convince someone else to think like you do.

With all these opinions on a car they made over 4000 of, what's the opinion on a 65 z-16? Since they only made what 200? Are they one without documentation and matching 396s not worth a restoration? Without the motor is it just another chevelle?
Maybe to some folks here they arent worth the investment, but it seems like there are those folks out there with deep pockets that begs to differ.
Me? Ill just be happy with my two beater chevelles. Jim

The Z-16 had a lot more than just the 396 engine. Exterior trim, frame, Spindles?..

Re: Value Of An Ls6 Without The Ls6

The Tachometer question. """ NO """ 1970 SS-- Z-15s / Z25s Came with a TACH. The TACH. is like a RADIO, or Power Windows,, The gauge Pkg. was an OPTION.
Other than the Engine & driveline, What makes an LS-6 an LS-6, And what is different about the body when a LS-6 engine is placed into this body. Is the body special for the LS-6 ?
Tell me I need to know.
Bob
