Since you offer ZERO info on the car, maybe you can tell us about the new garage door.

The door is original Fathom Blue just like the rest of the car except for the Black vinyl top which is original, options posi, cowl ind. hood , console and the top. The car does not run has not run since parked in 79 so it pushed both out and in of the garage when the garage door was replaced.....

Actually ,I think he meant the garage door color, and its options.
Now seriously, if you are honestly looking for a value of the car, you need to list pictures, and good ones at that. Plus details of what you know about it, like do you have a build sheet. Your initial post says nothing. Its as good as, "Home for sale in my neighborhood, overlooking the city. Has new windows. How much is it worth?"

Jasper,
When you do submit as many detailed pics as possible from as many areas as possible please include the sellers asking price of the vehicle so we can all determine how off the mark he is.

Personally, I’d like to hear about the car. As mentioned, condition, matching numbers, pictures and documentation really matter. Without that, an honest range of guesses will vary be tens of thousands of dollars.

SS396 one owner should be real easy to verify it being a Super Sport Chevelle.

Re: 70 Chevelle 396 4-speed 1 owner survivor parked in 1979

Also a couple of pictures of the car along with a pic of the trim tag should help us to price it for you.Fathom blue is a great color and one of the more desirable colors available back then.
Do you know if the car was covered when it was in the garage ? that would help to keep the paint alive but we are talking about a 40 year storage of the car so some interior,exterior,engine/trans problems and suspension sagging should be expected.
