Re: 1965 Malibu SS on eBay

That's a really sweet car & the owner is a TC member.

He posted a nice full description, but the photos need to be improved, especially under the hood. I like the addition of a 5 speed & disc brakes. The only thing negative to me is that instrument panel. It's really an eye sore, but hopefully easy enough to remove.

Regardless if I'm the seller, I would probably be asking around $35 grand & be willing to negotiate from there. I think somewhere near $30 grand would buy this car.

Re: 1965 Malibu SS on eBay

Yep, that's my car, thanks for the comments. Photography is not my long suit but anyone interested in this car should plan on a visit to see it. The pictures are representative of the car and yes could be better. Interested persons can request additional info and have.

Ah, the under-hood instrument panel. Some love it and some hate it, it is up to the person. Not to defend it however it is invaluable while working under the hood. Easily removable as I drilled no holes in the body to mount it.

The price is, well, we'll see. Some guys like early Chevelle's, time will tell... Al

Al, that's a nice looking car. Good luck with the sale. Curious on the tach, is that the shiftworks tach? If so, how does it fit. Looking to put one in my car. Thanks.

The tach is out of Eckler's catalog. I believe I bought it back in 2014, however I do not see it in their catalog today. Yes it looks to be a Shift Works product. Works well and I like the larger sweep, easier on old eyes to read it... Al

Dash looks great, unless somoene really knew chevelles they wouldnt notice.
I can see where gauges underhood would help if youre working on it. Looks like its up to 29k pretty good!

I sold my 65 on eBay yesterday. I was gratified to have the activity it produced. There is a market for clean well prepared cars out there... Al

Congrats on the sale. I hope you got the number you wanted. Looks like a fair price for the buyer...somebody scored a nice ride.

Any plans on a replacement for your garage?

So Al,
Are you moving on from classic cars or are you seeking another one.

Selling cars is like counting chickens before the eggs hatch. Seem the buyer with cash in fist was not so flush. So I still have the 65 Chevelle. I'm looking at storage for one of these other rides, I plan on having classic cars a long as possible... Al

As I told you through eBay's messaging system, I'd be all over that crocus yellow 65 if I had the funds. It's about as close to my "dream car" as it probably gets.

Good luck with trying to find a good home for her.

Totally agree...that car would be in my garage alongside my '66 if it wasn't so far away. Beautiful car.
