1970 LS6 Chevelle

Hey guys,

Saw this come up. I reached out to the fella. Hes asking $147,000. I figured the purist would have fun analyzing this one:

IMHO, Craig's List is probably the worst place to advertise an LS-6.

"However, the story told is that when the car was delivered to the lady who bought it, she wanted white interior, so the dealer did a swap from another car and still retained the factory white interior. Under carriage are the original floors and are in very good condition."

An LS-6 with a one legger? I didn't know they would even build that. Why not just buy a smoke machine for concerts and such, it'd be just as effective and a lot cheaper.

Neat car, I'm not bashing it at all, BUT - condition of the paint is inconsistent with the condition of the underside. Looks like it's been painted. Note that the photos from the GT Auto Lounge sale have the car up on a lift in such a way that you really can't see the true extent of the underbody crud.

It doesn't seem too hard to believe. If they had a white bucket seat car on the lot, it could be swapped in an hour. It's just seats, door panels, and arm rests... Dash, headliner, carpet, package tray, etc would not need to be removed.

Re: 1970 LS6 Chevelle

In 1965 I ordered a new Willow Green ( Full size SS) Small block 4 speed. The door panels, bucket seats were Gray. My buddy Jack Pompeo from Monaca,Pa. also had a new 65-SS His was maroon with white interior .
He wanted the Gray. So we swapped it out in both cars. I was quick and easy.

Don't be sorry. Just adding to you point and that it goes back to the beginning of BBC Chevelles.
