12 Bolt from 1969 Chevelle

Guys I have looked all over to get a real world price on this and it seems to be all over the place so here is what i have. 12 Bolt from my 69 Chevelle, around 3000-3500 miles on fresh build and 200-250 miles on bushings, original width, Moser street axles, Eaton posi unit, spicer 1350 yoke, Richmond 3.73 gears. (CN 1127B Axle stamp). Only reason for me to get rid of it was the switch to a strange 9" due to the increase in power and didn't want to hurt a good 12 bolt, so any help would be helpful Thanks

Travis, without actually seeing all the internals and verifying the condition, many will view this as a rebuildable core. Receipts for the parts and labor will help verify when all the work was performed and the manufacturer of the parts installed. For reference, the last 1969 12-bolt I sold went for a little over $1700 and that was with OEM GM 3.73's, a new genuine Eaton 19554-010 3-series posi unit, Tom's KA axles, all Timken bearings/seals and powder coated semi-gloss black.

Here in Houston, that's a $2,000 diff. 2.73 peglegs bring $800 here all day long. Not sure why prices here are so high.

It’s hard to price, individual markets vary widely. I’d start at $1,750 and see if you get any interest. You may need to negotiate since the economy is looking sketchy, I’d also think about giving the seller a few days to return it if he wants to take it to a shop for inspection.

Travis, maybe a couple more pics with gear marking compound showing the tooth pattern would help generate some interest.

Owning a Chevelle project is like having a giant-size piggy bank that you keep pouring money into....but you can't get it back out.
