Beautiful 69 but the master cylinder isn't black.

I don't think they were brown.

Maybe someone has a GM bulletin.

Re: 69 SS Convertible

Looks like it needs the crap driven out of it to me!

I'd use a foam brush and put POR-15 on that master cylinder.

Only asking 80 grand could be an issue.

Re: 69 SS Convertible

I think the power steering pump / brackets might be wrong for a '69.

Re: 69 SS Convertible

Has the wrong shifter ball. Should be a chrome ball. Also if we are talking an expensive car that should be correct then it has the chrome trim on the bottom seat rail covers. They should not be there.

Wink Re: 69 SS Convertible

Looks like it has 70 model side mirrors

Yes, some stuff is not original 69 factory stuff but if everything was, the price would be a lot higher.

I’m surprised at the responses. Thought there would be more negativity directed towards 454 and price !

How’s the fit and finish ?

Car’s been setting for 11 months, took this pic last March.

Re: 69 SS Convertible

It's tough to top a '69 vert in these colors, beautiful car. Fit and finish looks very good in pics except for the driver's side hood where it meets the header panel. I'd suspect an amateurish restoration and good professional body/paint work. Top looks good also. If the car was built to drive and look good, mission accomplished. If it was built to compete and brush shoulders with other restorations, it'll take a seat in the back alley.

Re: 69 SS Convertible

Personally, the 454 wouldn't bother me, I only care about it looking original myself.

Re: 69 SS Convertible

Well the ad makes no reference to the car looking or being “original” and it looks like a fairly recent restoration however it appears as the goal was an original looking 69. But at the asking price I wouldn’t expect any misses. $80K is at the upper end of a car like this. One again it is at a dealer and would be Potentially less expensive from a private owner.

Re: 69 SS Convertible

Is it just me or does the red painted bottom bother anyone else? It’s not an easy fix to correctly repaint the bottom of an assembled car.
To each his own but this and non-black frames ruin cars for me.
