First off, itís in terrible condition. Secondly, how do you know itís real? You can buy those decals, apply them to an old air cleaner lid, use it as a dog bowl for year or two and wa-lah, you have the same lid with a similar patina and an extra $9990 in your pocket.

PS - I have a turn signal stalk from a COPO car Iíll gladly sell for $15,000.

Sorry to any purists, collectors, or professional restorers but that's just ridiculous.

No... it's a really prime investment. Build the car of your dreams starting with the most important piece. Next up, the matching wing nut.

OMG! No disrespect, but that has to be a "typo".
No sane person would ask or consider such a piece of "junk' for that $$ amount.
Anyway,I think "COPO's" came with a chrome top and were 425 HP, in at least the 69 Camaros.
Could be wrong.

Re: COPO Air Cleaner Lid worth $9k

I would have to say, "Prove to me it's off of a COPO Chevelle? Show me the documentation".

I get a bit miffed at these people on eBay selling common Chevelle parts, and listing them as LS5, LS6 parts and asking a premium $ for them.
Prove to me it's off that vehicle, then I may consider buying. No air cleaner lid is worth the kind of money, rare or not.
I think there is 2 too many 9's in that price.

Re: COPO Air Cleaner Lid worth $9k

I know the Turbojet 460HP decals are out there, but are ANY of them original, and if so, on what? I think if the Corvette would have got the LS6 in 1970 it would have been rated at 460, but that didn't happen. Did Chevy sell any LS6 crate motors back then complete with the air cleaner?

I believe that's a Corvette item only and not Chevelles...
