'70 Chevelle on Ebay… a pile of junk.

Guys…look at this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Chevro...UAAOSwNHZd~8vS
The seller is hoping to get $5,000. for that pile of junk!… In the description, he even says that it's total rust bucket end needs every panel replaced… doesn't even have a 12 bolt rear… and one of the frame ends in the front looks like it has already been repaired in the past… It might be a '70 but c'mon… there's nothing useable left. I wouldn't pay $50. for it.

Claude.

Last… I don't remember seeing a Chevelle with a "D" in the serial number...

I really like the quote to repair being $13,600. 1/2 that using AMD panels.

It has 8 bids and up to $7,900. LOL WOW

There's nothing wrong with being stupid as long as you know you're stupid, it's when you're stupid and don't know it that you become dangerous.

It looks to me that they are biding on a title and serial plate.

But it still has the ignition key, so no need to worry there

Yeah, this happens too often. The seller/author is practically spelling it out for you, emphasizing the rear convertible well, title and value. That's really all they're saying, other than making it clear that this isn't for the faint of heart. They also "mistakenly" put the D in the vin so it couldn't be traced back to this ad once it's hits the market as a trailer queen.
So, someone needs to store this vin and when it comes full circle as a B,K,L or R code it can be traced.

Re: '70 Chevelle on Ebay… a pile of junk.

It's buildable, but it will take a load of cash to do it. In my opinion It's better that it's saved and built back to a driving car than being crushed for $200 scrap. It's a popular year and a convertible. There are a lot of people who would be willing to spend the kind of money it will take.
