66 12-bolt value

I have a 66 A-body 12-bolt in great shape, no pits, clean steel painted black, currently under a driving A-body. It is originally a 3.73 posi rear. I have the original Chevy posi case and axles, but have upgraded the axles to Moser C-Clip axles and a newer 400 lb Eaton posi case is also installed. It also has an original Tomazewski (TA Performance) aluminum cover girdle with preload bolts for the bearing caps. The gears are original Chevrolet. The casting number is 3875745 N. The axle tube stamping is CI 0331 B with an E under it. Looks like a 66 Chevelle rear from '66, assembled in Buffalo on March 31, 1966.
Can anyone give me a value range for this piece? Thank you. Pat

Re: 66 12-bolt value

I sold one earlier this year. the code was 3.31 posi, but sometime in the past a set of 3.50 (yes 3.50 35 ring gear, 10 pinion) gears were installed. I got $1400 for it. Buyer had a numbers matching 66 that was missing the original 12 bolt a d was specifically looking for a early dated housing. jim

Re: 66 12-bolt value

The numbers above are in the ballpark, but where you live will be a factor. If you live in a large urban area with a lot of potential buyers you will likely get more, if you are located in the middle of nowhere you will likely get significantly less.
