66 SS clone w/ 454

66 Malibu that's been converted to a SS clone with a 454 4spd auto. Blue buckets, console, AC, some gauges added, power brakes.
Nice, clean, needs nothing. Tastefully done, IMO.
What's it worth?
Thanks!

Re: 66 SS clone w/ 454

I’d say between $25,000 and $35,000. There isn’t enough information, nor pictures to give an accurate guess. Does it have a 10 bolt or 12 bolt, 2 or 4 wheel disc brakes, is the engine stock or modified?

It does look nice, but has there been any rust repair, if so how much and when?

Re: 66 SS clone w/ 454

If the car has a 12 bolt rear, is in great condition, and has at least front disc brakes I'd guess 33K-35K minimum...a bit more if it were a 4 spd. More pics would help.

Re: 66 SS clone w/ 454

I don't know the details yet. But duly noted that which axle and brakes are kinda important. And which 4spd auto.
Two other pics.
Thanks!

Re: 66 SS clone w/ 454

It looks like a nice car. 66's and 67's have very high asking prices originals and even clones. I've seen some clones that sell as high as the $35 to $40k range.

10 bolt is only a $1000 deduction.

Re: 66 SS clone w/ 454

Body and paint condition have a lot to do with price. If good to excellent I could see somewhere in the $30K -$37K range. If average it a $25K -$28K car.

Re: 66 SS clone w/ 454

Hank's right, you can get allot of Chevelle for 20k. You just have to do allot of looking and asking around, otherwise pay the premium.

25k is about right...do we think its wroth more sure but getting it is tough. Buying pool is shrinking so lots of flipping sharks out there. Nice ride.

After 2 yrs had one legit offer for 25..2 for 15 and 20 that actuall had money couldnt bring myself to do it. 60k appraisal, what you have into it means zip unfortunately

I disagree. I was looking for a long time and people think their car is worth 30k+ when :

1) it doesn't have an overdrive

2) It's appearance is customized

3) Body and paint aren't that good

4) they don't have AC

5) they have a bench seat

This car looks like it checks all the boxes except we haven't verified the body condition.

There is no way this car would bring less than 30k. Only because it's a clone it might not bring 35k.

Looks pretty nice.

The 1/4 Super Sport emblems aren't positioned correctly, unfortunately, so I would presume the quarters have been replaced.

Re: 66 SS clone w/ 454

It was a southern car that he bought 10 years ago. Solid, honest body, cheap but OK enamel paint. He put the interior in it and redid the front end, including adding discs.
10 bolt rear. 3-speed auto.
Sold for $36K + 10% fee. Ouch.

Re: 66 SS clone w/ 454

Like I said I've seen clones go for $35 to $40k. It seems like nice 66 or 67 true SS's are being listed for "Barrett Jackson" prices.
