Re: Local 1970 for sale

The original 1972 GM dash housing is incorrectly restored. That is not a 1970 dash housing. The small circles should not be high lighted. The outer perimeter should have the chrome/ silver high lighting. The stripe are not correct.

Re: Local 1970 for sale

The vertical stainless trim on the grille should not be on a SS car. The steering wheel appears to be a reproduction. The steering column should be black on a SS car.

The A/C lap vents should have chrome louvers in them, not black. The seat covers are missing the medallions.

Re: Local 1970 for sale

The center A/C dash vent does not have a shut off lever. It is not a 1970 part. The hood is not a Cowl Induction hood, but has the Cowl Induction emblems. The door panels have screws in them that are randomly placed. The 454 emblems on the fenders are more than 1/4 inch below the SS's, which is not correct.

Re: Local 1970 for sale

The front bench seat is missing the plastic hinge covers. Poor placement for the passenger door panel SS emblem. Incorrect washer fluid jug. I do see more things wrong, some of which are in the engine compartment.

The parking brake cable guides are in the wrong place. But it has a cool VIN.

Re: Local 1970 for sale

Wow I won't even bother. Everything is wrong. To start it is $30k over priced. Who would put an oil pressure gauge in the glove box? Honey could you open the glove box and check the oil pressure for me?

Re: Local 1970 for sale

On an Atlanta 1970 454 car, I believe the door panel emblems should be the Malibu version. If I had to guess this is a clone. No engine or transmission or rear end number pictures are shown. No build sheet shown. What do you think?

Air cleaner base and lid wrong. Truck bellhousing. Crappy looking emergency brake handle.

Re: Local 1970 for sale

You guys seriously impress me. I love that you can point all this stuff out. I doubt that pointing out all the flaws would help negotiate the price much being that its at a dealer. The thing I do like about the car is that they kept the original color and interior color. Im a fan of that when cars are restored. I wish that there was a little more attention to detail though as you guys have pointed out.
