Re-stamped engine, fake build sheet, reproduction parts galore. Probably not worth 100K let alone 1.2 million.

Those, so called broach marks are comical. Looks like 80 grit.

You are correct, it is a 5500 redline tach.

With the LS6, it should be 6500.

HOWEVER, there have been reports of the wrong tach installed. I believe Leo at Konik's Klassics has pulled out at least one 6500 redline tach from a LS5 Monte.

Re: 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Convertible, LS6

Tach does not have screws holding the face on. It's a repro. Lettering on dash missing the silver face. Dash pad is a repro.Too few detail pictures but M/C is not correct, No AIR and the list will go on.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming: "WOW! WHAT A RIDE!!"

It looks like a 5500 RPM redline, according to my eyes.

My father tells me I was born 30 years too late.

Re: 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Convertible, LS6

In addition to the absence of AIR on the exhaust manifolds, I also see "french locks" on the bolts, which is a massive no-no (or should I say "non-non"?)

Can't see/tell, but I would bet money that the valve covers are missing TCS wire tabs.

Cooling system and Engine Tuning decals are in a strange position... though that detail can vary.

Build sheet states CD2 - the washer fluid monitoring. I see no evidence of that either on the jug or under the dash.

Build sheet states U69 (mono AM/FM pushbutton radio) - radio in dash has stereo light, probably a new repop radio. Build sheet does not specify stereo equipment.

Build sheet states U80 (rear speaker) - was this even possible on a ragtop? Don't know...

Build sheet states D33 (remote mirror) - no evidence of such

Minor detail of not using a wire loom on valve cover (driver's side).

OH! and cowl vent grills!

Yes it was possible. They mount inside the top well, behind the rear seat.

Car is an obvious fake and the seller is delusional.
